How Long Does a Course Take?

One of the most common questions we get asked about eLearning courses is How Long Does a Course Take? & well the smart answer would be, how long is a piece of string? Only Joking!!

It really depends on the learner & the time they can dedicate to the actual course. Yes it is as simple as that, but lets analyse it a bit more. Learning is a skill in itself, one only recently recognised as schools & colleges are now starting to teach our youth how to actually learn with the Learning to Learn courses in class. You see we all learn at a different pace & well only YOU know your capabilities, determination & drive to succeed.

Now taking all that into account, we do provide you with an indication of the course length in the introduction part of your chosen subject. Take for example a course like Lean Six SigmaThe course includes

  • 10 Videos,
  • 10 Quizzes,
  • 5 Weeks Study

Thus it will take about 2 months to complete for the average learner who dedicates the time & effort to learn. For those who take a more relaxed approach, time will pass unnoticed & the course could take somewhat longer. See where I am going with this?!

Now a subject like Forming a Company is a much shorter course, yet very effective in content, but takes a lot less time as the course involves;

  • 7 Videos
  • 7 Quizzes
  • 1 Weeks Study

This course should only take a couple of weeks with some dedication & effort but again we have had students who have taken longer as they were busy with other projects etc.

One more example we will look at is the very popular Project Management Course  we have online that involves;

  • 34 Videos
  • 34 Quizzes
  • 10 Weeks Study

This course has won high praise indeed for it’s in depth content & presentation with our learners. This Project Management course requires considerable work but is ideal for those involved in Engineering, IT and business management functions, and those who wish to take the next step in career development. No short corners on this one, yet many of our learners have successfully completed the course in just two to three months. That’s while holding down busy positions within their company/organisation.

While eLearning is very beneficial, some of our clients see the benefit of a blended approach to their training & thus we can offer in house training at the start & middle of the course to help keep their team on track.

Please note while learning with People & Process you only pay a monthly subscription charge, which means you pay as long as you are learning, so if you only take a month to complete your course, that is all you pay!
